Google Sites Support

District Technology is encouraging teachers to use their Google Sites to great usable web sites for their classrooms.  The Google Sites application is one of the easiest site creation applications available.  Teachers no longer must concern themselves about finding a hosting service for their sites; Google provides that for you. Teachers can create multiple web sites, each serving a different function.

Google Sites Help is by far the best support and help one can find for creating sites.  Once you have logged into your Google Sites application you can select the "Help" link on the top right hand of the page to find complete instructions on creating Google Sites.  Google has placed a strong focus on supporting educational needs with regards to sites.  Take a look at their link "Sites for Teachers" to get some site topic ideas.  Teachers can create up to five sites a week.  I am unsure of the total amount of sites a teacher can create.

To see some examples of Google Sites created by teachers select the following link:

 https://sites.google.com/site/teacher1

You can view different sites by changing the number 1 at the end of the URL to a different number; the range goes from 1 to 34.

Google Sites Training is available on request.  Small group training works the best so please consider requesting Google Sites Training for your PLCs.  You can contact either This email address is being protected from spambots.
